She looks like the German one to me... maybe her head was made in Germany and her dress made in China??? Hard to tell... the differences are subtle. The biggest difference to me between my two was: 1) German Addy's hair was a lot thinner. Not like it was brushed too much, but when I actually looked at the wig it had fewer lines of hair sewn on it (about half). Your Addy looks like my German one, but I can't tell if you just braided the braid really tight or if her hair is the thinner wig. My China Addy has so much hair that it's nearly impossible to work with! Very fluffy and thick! 2) Your Addy looks like she has the more chocolate brown vinyl and lighter eyebrows like my German one. My China Addy's vinyl looks more chalky. Like a chocolate color that is muted by some grey or something. Still cute but different.
I love them both... but I can only let myself have one of each historical. That's all I've got room for. I decided to keep German Addy and sell China Addy. I do like the thick hair for looks, but it will be nice for Addy's hats to actually fit. On China Addy they just sort of floated on all that hair! LOL!

Hmm my Addy doesn't really look like either of them! her dress tag says doll made in West Germany and I got her the very second she was released but she was on back order. She looks more like your German one but her hair is BIG! ACK my sister's cat just started to eat the end of Addy's braid!!!!!

I really think she most resembles your German Addy, but I have nothing to compare her hair to. It's definately managable, but doesn't seem thin to me. It's not huge, either. It hasn't been played with much...I did not allow my daughter to brush it a lot. We mostly kept it in a braid, since she was actually my doll. ( My daughter had plenty of AG's to brush hair, if she felt the urge.)
This is really interesting!

I just won a supposedly pre-mattel Felicity from eBay. She supposedly has a 1986 body tag. Although I kind of wonder if the seller meant that the tag was on the dress. The seller has perfect feedback, and lots of sales.
We'll see....if she is post-mattel, I'll just relist her. It should be fun to see what she is like!
